What a paper manual describes, a virtual machine lets you do. The technician finds the fault, opens the cover, replaces the part; a mistake damages nothing and stops nothing.
The senior technician’s knowledgebecomes transferable
A service department’s most valuable asset is what a handful of people carry in their heads after years with the same machine. Written down it becomes a manual, and manuals go unread; read, they still have to be carried out.
A virtual machine makes that knowledge doable. A fault scenario is set up, the technician sees the symptom, diagnoses it, disassembles and replaces. A wrong diagnosis is allowed — the simulation shows where it leads.
The second gain is remote support: the technician in the field and the expert at head office meet at the same virtual machine. The expert points at the panel and the part live, instead of travelling for every fault.

Frequently askedabout this solution
Our service records are patchy — can scenarios still be derived?
Yes. Where records are thin, short conversations with the field team are enough: the most frequent faults and the biggest time sinks are usually common knowledge. The list is drawn from those conversations and then checked against whatever records exist.
Does a remote session need special infrastructure?
No. The session runs over the internet; where a plant has none, the same session runs over the local network and the data never leaves the site.
What if a technician does not want to wear a headset?
The same scenario runs on a desktop. Interaction is mouse and keyboard; measurement and reporting are identical.
