The size of an excavator disappears in a catalogue. In a 1:1 digital twin the customer stands beside the machine, climbs into the cab, looks under the hood.
Scale is not described,it is entered
The hardest part of selling heavy equipment is that the product cannot come to the customer. A photo cannot convey scale, a video cannot be interacted with, and a trade fair means freight, rigging, insurance and a return trip every single time.
A digital twin solves all three at once: the machine sits at full scale in a scene, the customer walks around it, opens a panel, runs the moving assembly. When the presentation ends, the machine is still in production.
How it is built
Model
If you have CAD files they are used directly. If not, the machine is measured by 3D scanning and turned into a digital twin.

A single physical demo unit is in one place at a time. A digital twin can open at three customers in three countries in the same week.
Booth and freight costs disappear
Transport, cranes, rigging, insurance and the return leg fall outside the presentation. Even the choice of hall stops depending on machine dimensions.
Configuration changes live
A different boom length, a different bucket, a different cab package: switched from a list, and the customer sees the result in the same second.
The inside is visible without disassembly
The hydraulic circuit under the hood, the cooling loop or the gearbox is shown without loosening a single bolt on the real machine.

What if there is no 3D model of the machine?
The physical machine can be measured by 3D scanning (photogrammetry or LiDAR) and turned into a digital twin. At project start we review whatever CAD, drawings and photographs you have and pick the most suitable method.
Does it work at a booth with no internet?
Yes. The presentation is installed as a local package on the headset itself; if there are several participants, the session runs over the local network. A cloud connection is only needed to push content updates.
What if the customer has never used a VR headset?
That is what presenter mode is for: the presenter holds control, the participant looks around and interacts only where they are guided. A customer who would rather not wear a headset can follow the same presentation on a screen.
